August has finally come to and end! Didn't this month feel like forever? Anyway, I'm glad it's over and I'm looking forward to September because...fall outfits! :)

This new month coincides perfectly with my new beginning: I recently moved to Boston for school. It's my first time here and my past few days have been great! I've met some cool people, tried out some restaurants and explored cute local areas. And of course, I've been working on the blog!

Since I'm fairly new to the area, I will admit that moving in and settling into my new place has been hectic. But, I'm happy I found some time to sit down and blog a bit! This outfit was inspired by my current obsession with mixing different types of styles together.

This was going to be an all-black type of outfit but things took a turn when I found this baby blue jacket. It's a perfect staple piece for the fall and I absolutely love the color and buckle detail ! It is a bit tight but I like that type of fit. Essentially, if you want to go for that "cute rockstar" look, this is the jacket for you!

To keep the color scheme going, I opted for my black clutch which has a hint of blue on it and some bracelets of the same color. I think the only part of my outfit that wasn't black or blue is my shoes. They're white Nike Air Max Thea's but I really wanted to add a sporty component to my outfit so in the end, the color didn't really matter to me.

All in all, I'm very excited for this new chapter in my life. I do want to expand my style while I'm in Boston, and hopefully get to meet and connect with photographers and other bloggers. I always welcome change because I know it's key for personal growth.

With that being said, I can't wait to learn and do more in this city. Of course, I'll be sure to share it all with you guys! <3

Hey guys, I hope you're having a great week! It's been a while since I've sat down and talked to you about #allthingsbeauty so let's get back into it!

Putting on eyeshadow is one of my favorite steps when applying makeup. Whether the shadows are neutral or colorful, they always bring your eyes out and are a nice touch. If you want to go for a simple vibe, you should use matte shadows. When you're feeling extravagant or want to go out, I definitely recommend using shimmery colors instead. After doing some research, swatches and experiments, I've rounded up the top eyeshadow palettes that can be used all year-round. I'll separate the palettes into high-end(name brand) or low-end (drugstore brands) categories, that way you can choose what you want!

High-end palettes:

1) Tartelette in Bloom by Tarte Cosmetics

This palette is one of the best on the market ; the shadows are great for neutral or gold looks. My little sister has the product so I've witnessed how smoothly the colors go on your crease or eyelids. It retails for about $46 at Sephora so yes, it is a bit pricey but it's definitely worth the purchase.

2) Modern Renaissance by Anastasia Beverly Hills

The Modern Renaissance eyeshadow collection is composed of neutral and berry-toned colors. The combination of 14 shadows is great because you can easily transform your day looks into nightime ones with the help of shades such as "venetian red" or "antique bronze"(see picture above). Low-end palettes:

1) Morphe 35O by Morphe Brushes

The Morphe 35O is a timeless product. I feel like this palette is still going to be as popular in a few years, because it's that good. The palette has 35 colors, both matte and shimmery so you definitely have a lot to work with. The collection is designed to to give you that natural glow: as you can see in the picture above, it's mostly composed of colors such as browns and warm neutrals like the burnt-orange on the far right of the palette. 2) The Saharan Palace by Juvia's Place:

If you like vibrant makeup looks, the Saharan Palette is your best bet. The shadows were inspired by the Fulani culture, hence the names like "Jamila" and "Fula". A lot of beauty bloggers and youtubers have given the product excellent reviews and it's affordability is also a big bonus for us millenials haha. In color psychology, white symbolizes creativity, purity, and feeling wholesome. Summer is coming to an end and after reflecting on these last few months, I definitely feel those things. It seems like everything went by so quickly, but I am proud of what I have accomplished.

White can also represent equality, and a sense of peace. I promised myself after my graduation that I would try to live a balanced life, where all aspects, from my relationships to work life would have an equal space. This balance led to a peace of mind, where I worry less and am comfortable in all type of situations.

Clarity and stability are on top of the list for me. Self-reflection, lifestyle changes and growth(even though it was sometimes uncomfortable) has allowed me to feel at ease. I think it's important to admit to ourselves when changes must be made; we tend to trivialize emotions or hide them from the outside world, but accepting them is what actually makes us stronger.

This one-shoulder ruffle top(honestly the best description I can give haha) is one of my favorite pieces. I wanted one for the longest and finally found it during my mini getaway trip to Atlanta back in July. It was a random find, I guess things really find their way to you when you stop thinking about them.

I admit, the top is a bit tricky because it bulges out when tucked in(the OCD in me got very frustrated by that) but I tried my best to make it work with these light wash jeans from H&M.

What I love the most about the top is its design. It's feminine and don't even get me started on the open back!!

Since the top is white and the jeans blue, I thought adding nude pumps and gold accents would be a nice touch. The gold around the #Hermeslink(no ice blue mink though) was similiar to the one on my earrings, so I felt all matched up haha.
